Proudly owned and operated by husband and wife duo Kirsty and Scott Malcolm, Death By Denim opened its doors in the Christchurch central city in 2016, when Kirsty recognised a huge gap in the local market for innovative and exciting designer brands.

Word of mouth quickly spread of our little boutique’s luxury and feel-good shopping experience, and since then Death by Denim has grown from a passion-project start-up to New Zealand’s go-to for timeless pieces and on point style.

With more than 28 years of industry experience, Kirsty knows and thing or two about weave, cut, and what style suits whom. Her focus on finding FASHION a customer loves – in a FORM and FIT that FLATTERS (bonus f-word!) their body shape – has earned Death by Denim a reputation for outstanding, genuinely personalised customer service and style expertise.

Great denim knows no age, and our mix of timelessly classic and up-to-the-minute styles are sourced from collections including brands that fit sizes 6 to 18, along with labels that specialise in style and comfort.

We work our denim-clad butts off to ensure that every single person who walks through our doors or makes a purchase online LOVES the experience, and comes away with a piece (or whole new wardrobe – who are we to stop you?!) that makes them feel incredible.
